Prunus padus Le Thoureil

A cultivar of the European Bird Cherry known for its attractive characteristics and adaptability to a variety of garden settings is Prunus padus 'Le Thoureil'. This particular type is distinguished by its lovely springtime flowers and its elegant, straight growth pattern. Racemes of fragrant white flowers hang beautifully from the branches of 'Le Thoureil' in the spring, providing a visually stunning show that not only delights the eyes but also draws a multitude of pollinators, such as butterflies and bees.

This tree is a great option for wildlife gardens since it bears small, black fruits after flowering, which are especially attractive to birds. 'Le Thoureil' has dark green foliage that changes to yellow in the autumn.
