Lavandula angustifolia, often known as English Lavender, is a must-have in every garden, producing wonderfully fragrant purple blooms from early to midsummer. Its silvery-green evergreen foliage adds year-round appeal, while its nectar-rich blossoms entice bees, butterflies, and other pollinators. This traditional lavender, known for its relaxing scent, works well in borders, cottage gardens, patio pots, and even as a low hedge.

Prefers full sun and well-drained, sandy or calcareous soil. Ideal for Mediterranean-style landscapes and sensory gardening. Superb for low growing scented lavender hedge (use 3-4 plants of this one per metre) or ground cover. Once established, water sparingly and softly trim after flowering to keep form. To prevent root rot, avoid overwatering and make sure there is excellent drainage. Ideal for cutting and drying for a household fragrance.
