Large Citrus aurantifolia LIME Tree - 70-80cms Tree

Product ref: PP20018

Availability: Out of stock

The amazing orangery at the gardens of Versailles, with more than 1,000 perfectly kept potted plants, might be the world's most famous showcase of citrus trees, indoors and out. But you don't need to be Louis XIV or have nearly as grand a setup to grow, display and even harvest citrus at home.

Why not awaken your living space and your senses with one of our zesty lime trees. The sweetly scented blossoms of this Lime are followed by the familiar fruit, medium-sized bright green and pickable year round! Limes are tangy, juicy and slightly sweet when fully ripe.

Like the plants at Versailles, your lime tree can grow in a container, thriving indoors during cold-weather months before basking outside in spring and summer.

The sweetly scented blooms are self pollinating so will easily set fruit, especially when bees are active.

They require plenty of light, and are great in a Conservatory. Deliciously fragrant white flowers open throughout the summer and are followed by good quality fruit. A compact, large shrub which is best grown in a pot where is can be placed in a frost-free place in winter, ideal to place outside in the summer months.

Our lovely trees are often festooned in fruit Autumn through to Spring, are nice and bushy, supplied in approx 3-4 litre containers with an overall height of around 70-80cms.

This would make an ideal gift for someone that has always wanted a citrus tree, as it is ready grown and often already fruiting when supplied.

Imagine this as a special unexpected gift, you could literally be harvesting your own Limes for drinks, zest and citrus treats with one of these fabulous trees.
