Large circa 5-6ft Grape Vine - Vitis vinifera Chardonnay
Availability: In stock
The premium grapevine Vitis vinifera 'Chardonnay' is known for yielding the renowned Chardonnay grapes. This vigorous vine is ideal for covering arbours, pergolas, and trellises because it can reach an impressive height of 5 to 6 feet. It produces clusters of greenish-yellow grapes in late summer that are perfect for juicing, winemaking, or fresh eating. The verdant foliage offers a visually pleasing backdrop for the duration of the growing season.
Plant in rich, well-drained soil that receives full sun. When it's dry outside, water frequently, especially when the vine is just getting started. Trim during late winter to early spring to keep shape and promote productive growth. Use a balanced fertiliser to apply a springtime fertilisation. Combine with complementary plants such as rosemary or lavender to draw pollinators and improve the appearance of the garden.
