Kniphofia 'Papaya Popsicle' - Red Hot Poker

Known by most as Red Hot Poker, Kniphofia 'Papaya Popsicle' is a visually arresting perennial that adds brilliant colour to any garden. Like a glowing torch, its thin spikes of tubular flowers change colour from sunny yellow at the base to fiery red at the top. This plant, which blooms from early summer to autumn, brings vibrant life to your garden by attracting butterflies and hummingbirds.

For optimal results, plant Kniphofia 'Papaya Popsicle' in full sun exposure and well-drained soil. Once established, it can withstand drought and grows well in sunny areas. In dry spells, regular irrigation will encourage longer blooming times. In order to promote ongoing blooming, deadhead spent flowers and trim back foliage in late autumn.
