Iris 'Grand Chief'

Beautiful bearded iris 'Grand Chief' is renowned for its big, velvety, deep purple blooms with delicate white veining. This tall, graceful iris is a great focal point in any garden, standing out with its vibrant colour and sturdy stems when it blooms in late spring or early summer. Even after the flowers have faded, the sword-like, grey-green foliage adds a strong vertical element and keeps its beauty.

For optimal results, plant in full sun and well-drained soil. To avoid rot, make sure the rhizomes are not buried too deeply and are only slightly exposed. During the growing season, water frequently, but let the soil dry out in between applications. Deadhead spent blooms to promote new growth and reduce foliage in late autumn.
