Iris 'English Cottage'

Beautiful bearded iris variety 'English Cottage' is well known for its soft, romantic appearance. Large, ruffled blooms in a delicate pastel palette of creamy white and pale lavender characterise this variety. The late spring to early summer blooms of 'English Cottage' lend a touch of refinement and intimacy to any garden. Even out of bloom, the tall, robust stems and the sword-like, grey-green foliage provide structure and interest.

Plant in full sun to partially shaded, well-drained soil. To stop rot, make sure the rhizomes are slightly exposed. During the growing season, water frequently, but let the soil dry out in between applications. In order to promote ongoing blooming, deadhead spent flowers and trim back foliage in late autumn. To keep clumps vigorous, divide them every few years.
