Hydrangea paniculata Ophelia
Availability: In stock
A superb Hydrangea variety that makes for a compact plant reaching fifty centimetres in height and width, making it perfect for both containers and small garden spaces.
Oval dark green foliage makes this a tidy plant buts it's the flowers that dominates this plants appearance. In late May loose panicles of green, white flowers are born covering the plants crown, these flowers develop a pink hue over time and eventually turn pink. This floral display will continue right through until the autumn when great yellow autumn colour is displayed, and the dried spent flower heads look great through the winter
Dead head spent flowers and mulch with compost in early spring in preparation for the new season.
This plant is happy in all soils, but dislikes waterlogged conditions. Its happy in sun or partial shade and grows happily in all aspects but shield from it very cold winds
As well as containers and small gardens can plant in drifts in woodland borders or cottage gardens.
Supplied in approx 3 litre containers.
