Choisya 'Aztec Gold' - Mexican Orange Blossom

This bushy, evergreen shrub adds amazing seasonal colour to any border and provides splendid spring fragrance. It has the beautiful aromatic leaves which initially open a bright yellow and as they mature gradually shift to tones of bright green. A stunning variety of Mexican Orange Blossom, ‘Aztec Gold’ flowers in late spring and early summer with masses of sweetly fragrant white flowers covering the shrub in clusters and displaying attractive yellow centres. Slow growing and with an ultimate height and spread of 1-1.5 metres, this shrub is well suited to planting in a shrub border, at the front of a mixed border or on mass to create informal hedging. 

‘Aztec Gold’ prefers to be placed in full sun but will tolerate partial shade. A versatile shrub it can grow in any soil type or pH but established better in well-drained soil. Make sure to place in a sheltered position away from cold winds.
