The aptly named Golden Hop is a stunning strong growing climber ideal for covering a hard surface such as an unsightly wall or fence. It is the perfect foil for lower growing plants in a mixed border as it boasts attractive yellow leaves that are deeply lobed and can reach up to fifteen centimetres in length.

In summer, hanging clusters of greenish, yellow flowers that are aromatic and are followed by the classic cone shaped hops.

This free growing plant can reach up to five metre plus in height if happy with its location, it prefers a sheltered South or West facing position and its beautiful yellow leaves will thrive better in sunshine.

This is the perfect climber for a trellis and its quick growing nature means it is ideal for creating privacy throughout the summer.

It is a deciduous plant that needs little attention but cut back stems in late winter/early spring, so it produces new leaves and stems for the growing season ahead and apply a mulch of organic matter.
