Hosta 'Stained Glass'

The gorgeous perennial Hosta 'Stained Glass' is highly valued for its vivid golden-yellow leaves with deep green borders. In parts of the garden that receive shade, the glossy and textured leaves provide a dramatic contrast. This variety is made even more appealing by the fragrant, lavender flowers it produces on tall scapes in late summer. It's ideal as a ground cover or for use in woodland areas and shade gardens.

Plant in well-drained, fertile soil in partial to full shade. To maintain the soil continuously moist but not soggy, water it on a regular basis. Mulch to keep the soil moist and prevent weed growth. Use organic deterrents to guard against damage caused by slugs and snails. Combine with astilbes or ferns to create a lush, textural garden arrangement.
