Helleborus orientalis Double White Spotted - Hellebore
Availability: In stock
Double White Spotted is a beautiful variety of hellebore with pretty purple shaded speckles appear on the flowers, each with a lovely soft golden centre. Every petal appears in delicate creamy-white with the spots appearing across each one.
The stunning, pendent to outward-facing, saucer-shaped flowers appear from February to April above leathery, deep green leaves. This is a wonderful lenten rose variety and the flower colour is extremely unusual as well as beautiful.
The white spotted flowers look particularly good when planted with Spring flowering bulbs such as narcissi and hyacinth. Like all Hellebores, it is a great ground cover plant for areas of dappled shade under deciduous trees and shrubs.
The leathery, evergreen leaves that provide all year round interest can be cut back in late Winter, to really show off the flowers to maximum effect.
Looks wonderful planted in a container, or as part of a border mixed in with ferns or hostas. Grows best in a part shady spot and like all hellebores, prefers a heavy soil.
Top Quality bushy plants are supplied in approx. 1 litre pots, these really are outstanding value for money.
Perfect for adding brightness and garden interest when little else is showing colour, plant these now to guarantee the beautiful flowers every winter each and every year in to the future.
