Helenium autumnale Strawberry Sundae

This Helenium is a summer bloomer producing masses of flower and growing 60-80cms tall. When compared to more commonly offered varieties, such as 'Moorheim Beauty', 'Strawberry Sundae' distinguishes itself by having fuller flowers as the petals do not droop, and being more compact with very thick stems, making it a much sturdier plant. It also provides extra intrigue, as its crimson petals are often flecked with bright yellow highlights, which vary in proportion according to how much sunlight each individual flower receives. Flowering throughout Summer and in to Autumn, it also makes excellent cut flowers. Supplied in approx 2-3 litre containers.
