Giant Hardy Fan Palm - Washingtonia Robusta - excellent quality, nice and chunky, fresh lush green plants.

Seen on your holidays, and now available to buy as an approx 60-80cm specimen Palm perfect for your conservatory. Washingtonia's are also known as Mexican Fan Palms, Cotton Pams or as the Skyduster.

As the name suggests this palm originates in Mexico, it is also the iconic Hollywood palm that lines the boulevards of Los Angeles and Beverley Hills in California, USA. It's perfectly easy to grow in the UK though, with plants reputedly being hardy to as low as -8c.

Over time Washingtonia palms will form a tall, slender trunk topped with massive fan-shaped leaves.

This really is a Gorgeous large leafed Fan Palm that will provide an architectural effect.

In summer sunshine, the large leaves will cast beautiful shadows.

Washingtonia palms are reputedly hardy to as low as -8c.

Grows best in a bright sunny warm position in well drained compost or soil.
