Cytisus Boskoop Ruby - Broom - LARGE
Availability: In stock
Cytisus 'Boskoop Ruby', commonly known as Broom, is a deciduous shrub that delivers a dazzling spring display. From late spring into early summer, it’s smothered in masses of deep ruby-red, pea-like flowers with subtle purplish tones, creating a fiery contrast against the fine, green stems and slender foliage. Its upright, arching form adds light structure to borders and gardens, while the vivid flowers attract bees and early pollinators.
This tough, drought-tolerant shrub thrives in poor, well-drained soil and full sun, making it perfect for low-maintenance gardens, slopes, or coastal settings. Once established, it requires very little care, just a light prune after flowering to keep its shape and encourage healthy growth. Pair with silver-leaved plants like Artemisia or sun-lovers such as Salvia and Rock Rose for a striking, Mediterranean-style planting scheme.
Supplied in an approx. 7.5 litre container.
