Renowned for its striking, pendulous flowers, which bloom profusely from summer through to autumn. The small single flowers hold stunning crimson tubes and sepal which contrast perfectly against the violet-purple corollas and are set against a backdrop of dark-green, lance shaped leaves tinged with bronze. Robust with an upright habit, Fuchsia ‘Riccartonii’ is commonly known as the hardy fuchsia and is the perfect plant for an informal hedge or to line mixed borders.

This Fuchsia does best when planted in full sun or partial shade and prefers well-drained or moist soil. Similarly to other Fuchsias it should be protected from frosty area and will prefer sheltered gardens.Â
