Fuchsia Garden News - Hardy Fuchsia

Product ref: S23626

Availability: Out of stock

Fuchsia Garden News is a vigorous hardy fuchsia that is free-flowering in nature, making it appealing for a wide range of gardens. The beautiful hanging flowers contrast wonderfully again the light green foliage, plus the flowers also attract beneficial bees and pollinators, blooming from early summer all the way through to late autumn. A deciduous shrub usually with a maximum height of between 60-80cms, ‘Garden News’ has lovely green toothed leaves on green-red stems. These colourful characteristics make it perfect as a specimen plant on a patio or terrace and it works just as well in a perennial planting scheme or shrub border - it even works well in hanging baskets.

This fuchsia is very versatile and able to grow in any soil type as long as it is well-drained, it thrives in both full-sun and partial shade. It is hardy able to tolerate freezing temperatures, but given a sheltered area it could make a larger plant to 120cms or more over time thanks to the stems avoiding winter frosts cutting them down to grown level each year.

Supplied in approx. 2l containers.
