Fragrant White Angels Trumpet Plant - Brugmansia suaveolens

Product ref: PP23589

Availability: Out of stock

Angel's trumpet plants have huge topical looking flowers that hang down like trumpets or bells from large shrubs, each flower can be up to 35cms (14 inches) long, and they look very dramatic and attractive in appearance.

After the warmest hours in the day during summer towards early evening the blooms produce the most intense perfume. Brugmansia are very easy to grow, and perfect for large containers or planted directly in the garden, thriving in full sun or partial shade.

The plant may grow as tall as three metres in it's second year following a mild winter, but don't worry, they can be kept much smaller by pruning and can start flowering when only around 60cms (2ft) or less in height. The flowers first appear in spring and continue through the summer into the cooler Autumn months.

It is very important to use a good quality compost when planting these, and for the best results feed heavily in the growing season. If planted in the ground they will do best in a spot that is well drained, heavily mulch the plants for the winter. The top growth will freeze, but new growth from the roots usually appears each spring after the last frosts, usuaslly in early May and grows very quickly.

Container-grown plants should be moved indoors for the winter and may continue to flower inside too. Angels trumpets really are fantastic and well worth try!

These fast growing plants are supplied as flowering size plants in approx 20cm containers, often with blooms developing, fast growing beauties will provide you with more colour and scent than your senses will probably be able to deal with.
