Fargesia murieliae Moontears is a fantastic new variety of compact clumping bamboo, tough and fully winter hardy, it's bred in Germany, and nicknamed 'Boobux' thanks to forming relaxed ball shaped plants with a little clipping - reminiscent of a topiary buxus ball - except with more relaxed form and texture being bamboo!

Moontears can easily be pruned to shape, and the plant has no problems with any shaping you may wish to do at all. Fargesia bamboos are not invasive and grow well even afrer trimming to shape. Moontears is a strong and healthy variety with a compact habit - perfect for hedging and topiary!
