Peonies (Paeonia) are a classic garden plant that no garden should be with out, they are the perfect long lived perennial for garden borders, flowering reliably every year.

They are a staple for any cottage style garden and will last a lifetime in the garden growing bigger and better every year. They're also grown as a modern and classy cut flower.

Their large ruffled flowers also have a lovely fragrance. Our special mix of varieties contains peonies in shades from white, through pinks, reds and burgundy in colour, with a few bi-colours thrown in for good measure. Peony plants are robust and popular, with flowers produced in greater profusion every year as the clumps increase in size. They are very long lasting, and can remain in the same position for decades once planted.

The ancient Greeks named the peony after Paeon, the physician of the Greek gods. In Chinese culture the peony is called the Emperor Flower. With enormous, fragrant flowers, it's no wonder that peonies are so popular. A shapely bush produces flowers with a lovely depth of colour. This collection consists of three distinct colours, supplied as premium quality strong bare root plants ready to be planted out in your garden and flower.
