Evergreen Leyland Cypress Tree - Cuprocyparis leylandii - circa 100cm

The Leyland Cypress, or Cuprocyparis leylandii, is a fast-growing evergreen tree valued for its conical shape and dense, feathery foliage. This variety, which grows to a height of about 100 cm, is perfect for making hedges, windbreaks, and privacy screens. Its year-round coverage from its rich green foliage makes it a useful and lovely addition to any garden.

Plant in full sun to partially shaded, well-drained soil. In order to create a deep root system, water the tree frequently during its first growing season. As the tree gets older, less watering is required. If you want to keep your hedge at the appropriate height and shape, you should prune it once a year. Leyland Cypress makes for a well-balanced and aesthetically pleasing landscape when paired with other evergreens and flowering shrubs.
