Eriobotrya Coppertone Japanese Loquat Tree - Large

Product ref: FT26679

Availability: In stock

As the Japanese loquat tree, Eriobotrya 'Coppertone' is a gorgeous evergreen tree that is prized for its glossy, copper-toned new growth that eventually turns deep green. With its impressive height, this large tree is a great option for gardens that need privacy and shade. It bears small, edible orange-yellow fruits after fragrant, creamy-white flowers bloom in late winter or early spring.

Plant in rich, well-drained soil that receives full sun. During the growing season, water frequently, but let the soil dry out in between applications to avoid root rot. After fruiting, prune to preserve shape and promote strong growth. Mulch to keep the soil moist and prevent weed growth. For a harmonious garden design, combine with other Mediterranean plants like lavender or olive trees.

Supplied in approx 10 litre containers at around 150cm tall.
