Product ref: BR26524

Availability: Out of stock

The charming cultivar dahlia 'Miss Brandy' is prized for its rich, vivid orange blooms that have touches of peach and pink, making a cosy and welcoming arrangement in any garden. The huge, semi-double flowers have layers of wavy petals that open to reveal a darker orange centre, giving the whole arrangement more depth and visual intrigue.

This cultivar is ideal for mid-border planting or as a focal point in a cutting garden because it usually reaches a height of approximately 90–120 cm. Full light helps to bring out the rich colours of dahlias such as 'Miss Brandy', and for optimum results, they need well-drained, nutritious soil.

Supplied as tubers, the best time to plant is in April and May. To plant them, dig a hole at least 20-30cm square and around 20-30cm deep for each one. Cover the base of the hole with 10cms of compost, or manure and give it a good dousing with a full watering can and then plant the dahlia at a depth of 15-20cms. You will need a stout stake, not just a bamboo cane, to support each plant and it is a good idea to knock this in first and then place the plant by its side. It will need to be lifted in winter - once the foliage dies back simply dig it up and store in a cool, frost free location.
