Cytisus Red Lion

A brilliant and striking deciduous shrub, Cytisus 'Red Lion' is perfect for bringing a splash of colour to any garden. This broom plant is well-known for its magnificent deep red flowers, which bloom profusely from late spring to early summer. It can also be used to create a visually striking display. Attaining a height of approximately 1.5 metres, it is ideal for use as a focal point in borders or as a component of a mixed shrubbery.

This resilient shrub requires very little maintenance; it thrives in full sun and well-drained soil, where it can absorb sunlight and develop the most vibrant blooms. Since it can withstand salty air, it is also a good choice for gardens by the coast.
