Cucumber 'Dragon Egg'

Cucumber 'Dragon Egg' is an interesting heritage variety distinguished by its unusual oval pale yellow fruits that have the appearance of a dragon's egg. These tiny cucumbers are ideal for pickling, salads, and fresh eating because of their mild sweetness and crisp texture. "Dragon Egg" yields a bountiful crop all summer long due to its prolific nature.

Plant in rich, well-drained soil that receives full sun. Water the soil frequently to maintain an even moisture level, and mulch to keep moisture in the soil and keep weeds out. In order to keep the fruits off the ground and encourage air circulation, provide support with trellises or stakes. Use a balanced fertiliser and apply it on a regular basis. When the cucumbers are about the size of an egg, harvest them; pick often to promote continuous production.
