Corylus avellana Contorta 'Red Majestic' is the rare and unusual red leaved form of the contorted twisted stem hazel. Combining the unusual 'corkscrew' stems with stunning bright red leaves. It does best planted in a moist, well drained soil in sun or semi shade and it will grow up to 2. 5m making it suitable for small or large gardens. For floral art, it features unusual red nuts and red catkins!
This corkscrew hazel is ideal for the middle of a sunny border or large container. The twisted stems, provide a curious and unusual focal point and are really something to get people talking!
Supplied with a clear stem with a head of twisting branches forming a nice small tree in approx. 7-10 litre containers.
