Cornus sericea 'Kelseyi'
Availability: In stock
A dwarf variety of dogwood, ‘Kelseyi’ still gives you the characteristic Cornus winter colour but in a more compact habit, allowing planting at the front of borders or in small areas. Dense green foliage appears in spring and remains all the way until autumn when it turns stunning shades of red and purple before it falls. However, the main attraction of this shrub is its beautiful eye-catching stems which shine in winter, displaying shades of yellow-green at the base and a fiery orange-red at the end of the stems. This is the perfect shrub to plant at the front of a mixed border or used to line a path only growing to a maximum height of 0.6 metres and spread of 1-1.5 metres.
Grow in full sun or partial shade to best display the winter colour of ‘Kelseyi’. A versatile shrub it can tolerate dry soil, preferring moist but well drained areas, and is fully hardy able to establish in exposed or sheltered gardens. It can thrive in any soil type or pH and is very low maintenance.
Supplied in approx 2 litre containers.
