Cornus alba Elegantissima

Known by many names as variegated red twig dogwood, Cornus alba 'Elegantissima' is a stunning deciduous shrub with stunning foliage and a vivid winter stem colour. This cultivar gives forth vibrant, variegated leaves with green centres and creamy white edges that add visual appeal to any garden all growing season long.

'Elegantissima' displays its vivid red stems in the winter after the leaves have fallen. These branches contrast dramatically with the snowy surroundings and gloomy winter days. Because of this feature, it's a great option for year-round colour additions to the garden. Cornus alba 'Elegantissima' can grow up to 2.5 metres in height and spread, making it a perfect choice for mixed hedges used in shrub borders.
