Cordyline australis 'Emerald Star'
Availability: Out of stock
This medium-sized evergreen shrub is commonly known as the cabbage palm because of its long, rigid, sword-shaped leaves and characteristic palm stem. ‘Emerald Star’ has an upright habit and glossy vibrant green leaves that are broader and shorter in comparison to other Cordyline varieties, giving you a denser hit of year-round colour.  With an ultimate height and spread between 1-1.5 metres this is the perfect exotic plant for combiner planting on a patio or drive or within a mixed border, adding architectural structure and exciting colour to any area.Â
Â
‘Emerald Star’ prefers full sun but will tolerate partial shade and is versatile, able to grow in any soil type as long as it is well-drained. Drought tolerant you can place this Cordyline in the hotter areas of your garden. It is hardy so can thrive in exposed or sheltered areas but should be protected from cold winds and may need wrapping if temperatures drop significantly in winter.
Supplied in approx. 3 litre container.
