Cercis canadensis The Rising Sun - North American Redbud Tree

Cercis canadensis 'Rising Sun' is a compact, dense, rounded, deciduous tree with attractive heart shaped foliage. The leaves emerge burnt-apricot coloured, maturing to yellow then bright green through the summer, before turning yellow and orange in autumn. Abundant lavender coloured flowers appear in spring on the bare branches. This ornamental tree is ideal for small gardens and urban spaces thanks to its manageable size and multi-season interest. Its tiered branching structure and ever-changing foliage provide a long-lasting display from early spring through to late autumn.

Cercis 'Rising Sun' thrives in moist, well-drained soil and prefers a sunny or lightly shaded position.
