Calluna vulgaris 'Westerlee Gold' is a fascinating heather variety recognised for its magnificent golden-yellow leaves, which lights up any garden all year. It produces delicate, pure white blooms from late summer to early autumn, which contrast well with the vibrant, golden foliage. In the winter, the leaf becomes a richer bronze, adding to the seasonal appeal. This resilient evergreen shrub is ideal for rock gardens, borders, and container planting due to its compact size and low growth.
Plant in acidic, well-drained soil in a sunny location to bring out its golden tones. Combine with other acid-loving plants such as Erica, Dwarf Conifers, or Pieris to create a rich and bright show. Minimal care is required, with just mild trimming after blooming to retain form and vigour.
Supplied in approx. 13cm pots.
