Calluna vulgaris 'Firework' lives up to its name, providing a stunning display of shifting leaf hues throughout the year. The thin, needle-like leaves are vivid golden-yellow in the spring and summer, but fade to flaming crimson and orange as autumn draws near. Clusters of petite, light pink flowers bloom from late summer to early autumn, presenting a fascinating contrast against the vibrant foliage. This compact, bushy evergreen shrub is ideal for providing colour to borders, rockeries, and patio pots.
'Firework' thrives in acidic, well-drained soils and full sun, and requires just a short trim after flowering to retain its compact appearance. Combine with evergreen shrubs like Hebe to create a colourful, year-round show.
Supplied in approx. 13cm pots.
