Callicarpa japonica 'Leucocarpa'

Product ref: S25004

Availability: In stock

Commonly known as the Beauty Berry this attractive and unique shrub will provide you with stunning autumn berries and delicate summer colour. ‘Leucocarpa’ produces attractive, large mid-green leaves in spring before an abundance of pale pink-white flowers bloom in clusters in July. These are then followed by the characteristic bright white berries which absolutely cover the shrub in late autumn and winter, giving your garden much needed interest in the quieter months and attracting birds. The foliage also turns beautiful shades of yellow and bronze in autumn before it falls.  This shrub responds well to pruning and has an upright habit with an ultimate height of 3 metres and spread of 2 metres. ‘Leucocarpa’ is well suited to planting at the edge of a mixed border but works equally well when planted on mass to create an informal hedge along a border or path.

Place this shrub in full sun or partial shade and make sure it is in moist but well-draining soil. It is fully hardy so can grow in exposed or sheltered gardens.

Supplied in approx. 3 litre containers.
