Butternut Squash - Waltham Butternut

Product ref: VEG26309

Availability: Out of stock

'Waltham Butternut' is a highly regarded cultivar of butternut squash prized for its remarkable output and storage capacity. This squash yields smooth, bell-shaped, uniformly coloured fruits with a tan tint. Sweet, nutty, and vivid orange within, this flesh is a favourite among home cooks and professional chefs alike. Its creamy texture works well when roasted or sautéed, as well as in soups, purees, and baked goods.

Plant butternut squash 'Waltham Butternut' in a sunny position with well-drained, healthy soil for successful cultivation. Since it is a vining plant, you will need plenty of room for it to spread out, or you may train it to climb a solid trellis to free up some garden space. To support the development, regular watering is essential, particularly during the fruiting stage.

Supplied in approx. 9cm pot.
