Cornflowers are some of the easiest flowers to grow, and this pollinator-friendly combo will produce a fantastic wildflower display that will attract a variety of wildlife throughout the summer. A stunning combination of purple, blue, white, and pink tones, great for border backs and cut flowers. Cornflower mixture will begin to bloom between June and October.

Sow directly outdoors where they will flower starting in March, or after the last frost. Choose a sunny area in the garden, scrape the soil to a fine tilth, and seed thinly 30cm apart. Cover lightly with excess compost, no deeper than 1cm. Water well to provide proper contact with the compost and to promote germination. Germination might take up to 3 weeks. Summer flowers can be grown from seeds sown directly from March to May. Seeds can be sown indoors in August and September and transplanted outside in the spring for earlier flowering.
