Beautiful Ilex J C Van Tol Holly Tree - Large Bushy circa 100-120cm Specimen - Self-Fertile Female English Holly
Availability: In stock
A hardy native holly that is almost spineless, this will reliably carry masses of bright red berries once established, amongst the glossy, dark green leaves. These are carried on dark purple stems that carry the bright red berries wonderfully from autumn in to winter.
This hardy English holly makes a handsome evergreen specimen tree for a small garden with fertile, moist, well-drained soil. J C Van Tol Holly is also self-fertile, so does not need to be near a male variety of holly tree to produce the berries. The abundant fruits persist through the winter months, providing an excellent source of food for birds and of course a feast for the eyes over the festive period for which this plant is perhaps best associated with.
Stunning bushy specimens, supplied in approx. 7-10 litre containers.
This distinguished evergreen really is a sight to behold, a glowing winter beacon when other plants are in their annual slumber.
