A classic British favourite, the Bramley's Seedling Apple Tree is renowned for its big, tart, and incredibly fragrant apples. The crisp, green fruit of this apple, known as the finest cooking apple, turns into a light, fluffy texture when baked, making it ideal for sauces, pies, and crumbles. Fruit from this robust and resilient tree keeps very well throughout the winter, yielding a plentiful crop from late September to October. In the spring, the tree produces lovely pink-white blossoms that adorn your garden and draw pollinators.

Plant in full sun with well-drained soil, ensuring enough space for its spreading growth. This variety is a triploid, meaning it requires two other apple varieties nearby for pollination. Prune annually to maintain shape and promote healthy growth.

Supplied as strong bare root trees at a height of around 140cm and grafted on a MM106 rootstock, this produces a tree of moderate vigour suitable for most situations where fruit is of a nice pickable height. Trees are easily maintained at a manageable size and never reach more than around 12ft tall.
