This beginner plant is the ideal way to start. In time, it will produce a central stem that carries the well-known fruit—you can watch your own deliciously fragrant, sweet pineapple develop as your plant reaches maturity.
Pineapples are members of the Bromeliad family. Research has shown that this plant emits oxygen during the night and helps prevent snoring. The scent of pineapple contains an anti-inflammatory enzyme (bromelain) that helps to expand the airways. Try keeping your Pineapple plant on a sunny windowsill in the bedroom if either you (or a partner) suffers from snoring—we can't make any specific claims, but it's got to be worth a try!
The plant is the same type as you would find in a sub-tropical pineapple plantation, except it will also be right at home here in the UK on your windowsill. Keep the compost moist, and a plump pineapple will appear.

This is an update!
So the pineapple grew and didn’t taste too great haha
However…..
After researching the bromeliads and how cool they are I still have the original plant and have taken 5 babies off her this year to gift to friends!
Everyone needs a pineapple plant in their lives!

The plant was huge, easily twice the size of the photos on the website and the pineapple itself looks pretty much ready also.
As one of the above reviews said would like a bit more info on aftercare other than just watering.
Could of done with a larger pot also.

Would be helpful to come with more detailed growing/care instructions . I know there are a few instructions on the pineapple plant page, but a few more details would be very helpful to ensure success.
That said, it's a beautiful plant and arrived in good condition and quickly. Hope we can do it justice.
