Acer rubrum Sun Valley is a beautiful maple that will add a gorgeous splash of colour to your garden with its fiery red foliage in the autumn, as well as reddish-green foliage in the spring. The tree you will receive will be roughly 180-200cms tall, with the potential to grow to up to 12 metres, meaning you have plenty of time to watch it grow and mature. It enjoys being in a sunny spot in moist, well-drained soil but will also grow in partial shade if you have some taller trees around it.
This is a deciduous tree so it will lose its leaves in the winter and make a beautiful return in the spring with plenty of foliage and clusters of little red flowers, which are often followed by winged seed pods, sometime known as keys.
The primary intended use of this plant is to grow food for human consumption.
