Acer palmatum Phoenix - Japanese Maple

Product ref: S1I003

Availability: In stock

The Acer 'Phoenix' is a fantastic small tree, notable for its bright red young stems, giving a highly ornamental look in winter. The bark is white-striped on more mature stems, and the foliage provides a wonderful butter-yellow autumn show. New leaves emerge tinted pink and develop a green-veined middle before turning golden-yellow in the autumn.

This plant's compact nature makes it perfect for smaller borders and flower beds, but make fantastic feature plants when grown in pots due to its vibrant colour.

It is best planted in moist, well-drained soil. The Acer 'Phoenix' is best placed in shaded and partially shaded areas of the garden and sheltered from the wind.

Supplied in approx 2-3 litre containers.
